Exploring Lions Bay

Exploring Lions Bay

Took a drive up the Sea To Sky Highway a few summers back and stopped in at Lions Bay to take a few shots. It's the same highway that leads to the Whistler ski resort- perennially rated number one - and really shows some of the diversity that this province holds. Whistler is only about an hours drive past this point which gives you the reason for the highway's name.

The list of things that can be done on this trip is amazing. Camping, rock climbing, hiking, wind surfing, boating, kayaking, diving, snowboarding/skiiing, fishing, golf and the list goes on and on. On another trip up that way, I took this shot from the top of The Chief, which is about the point that the highway leaves the water and heads inland.

Fuji Velvia 100, scanned, colour corrected, sharpened in Photoshop.
