How Small Man Is

How Small Man Is

If you want to take the shortest route to this spot, this is the route you would have to take. It's not easy or for the faint of heart obviously, but I'd imagine that the rewards are phenomenal. The Stawamus Chief is way bigger than anything I've ever climbed but I'd love to try it. If you click on the above link, you'll see that I have been to the top of it - the view is insane - but I took the back route which is nothing more than a steep hike. If heights aren't your thing, there is diving to be had along this same highway.

There are several climbers reaching an incredible overhang created by the granite cracking and splitting off (!). It really shows how small humans compare to the really great things in this world. I took the shot at 210mm zoom, so even though the height shown in this photo is considerable, it's really only a small part of the total climb.

Fuji Velvia 100, scanned, colour corrected, sharpened in Photoshop.
