Biggest Deck Chairs Ever

Biggest Deck Chairs Ever

Saturday was the first really nice day of the year and I was all over it.

Went to Granville Island and walked east from there along the seawall. At one point, at the construction of the olympic athletes village, there was a promenade that is built but closed off by a fence. Someone (not me, promise) had opened up the fence and there were a few people hanging out on the pristine new seawall.

There are all sorts of cool things that they've done down there including these comfy, gigantic, oversized loungers.

We must have sat there for an hour enjoying the warmth, looking out at the sky and over to Yaletown.

And it's only the start of the warm weather.

As for the photo, it kind of looks like an HDR shot but it's not. I hit the chairs and deck with a flash which allowed me to darken up the sky some. As for why the buildings right in front of the sun aren't totally silhouetted - I have no idea. By all rights, they should be.
